Why is it that internet order and pick up is more stressful than just going in and finding what you want? It was supposed to save me time and stress with my kids. I placed the order at lunchtime, I called ahead at 6:22 and they said that they were “working on my order” and to come on by. I get to Lowe’s and get in the Customer Service line at 6:45 and don’t get helped until 7:15. Just to get told that my order isn’t ready and it could be at least another 30 minutes!! I walk out at 7:20 without my stuff and have to make another trip out in the morning to pick it up! I could have just shopped for the stuff myself...MUCH faster (Even with the kids)!! After waiting as long as I did in the Customer Service line...I had to get my kids home and put them in bed. You need more “pickers” and more Customer Service staff (they were stressed out too). A truly frustrating Friday night and we still have to try again tomorrow morning!
There are some employees who are fantastic and others who are not. Our most recent experience with the paint department was with an apathetic employee, Michelle, who cared more about her personal conversation than about helping a customer. Brusque and disinterested, she carried on with a co-worker for several minutes, while we waited for help.
Love this store! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They allow you to bring your dog with you and despite that their store is STILL super clean.
Employees were kind and attentive, but checkout was slow and aggravating. There were long lines because only two actual registers were open, and the 4 self checkout lanes had multiple problems for each transaction that required the attendant's assistance. If you insist on utilizing self-checkout to cut costs, invest in a system that is quick and efficient! Competitors will definitely get my future business until the checkout issues are addressed.
It's a bit of a hit and miss here. Sometimes you have a nice time and sometimes you don't. Some employees are friendly and some would rather that you don't exist. Perhaps every time I come I just always speak to the one that's having a bad day though, I don't know. I try to steer clear of conversations with employees when possible while I'm here.
