Geisha is a little slice of heaven. The restaurant is clean and smells fresh. I've brought everyone I know to Geisha and everyone has had positive experiences. There's a sushi side, a hibachi side, and a bar with roughly 10 seats.
Perfect joint for a quick sushi bite. Bento boxes and sushi combos on their lunch special. Staff is friendly and the food has never disappointed
A little shocked by the lack of customer service. My husband called tonight (Sunday) to place a to-go order and was told by the young lady who answered the phone "we're pretty busy can you call back later?" I wonder if management is aware that their staff is turning away $60+ orders because they can't be bothered to take a quick to go order or place the customer on hold until they can. We're understanding customers and never mind waiting (in person or on the phone) if the food is good, but this is a bit much. We will be taking our business elsewhere permanently.
The hibachi side of the house is electric and fun. All of the chefs are extremely personable and looking to have fun while they cook. They joke, laugh, and occasionally will see if you're any good at catching food in your mouth (If you are comfortable trying!).
The sushi chef is Si she is super friendly and has a great sense of humor. Si talks about the ingredients, preparations, and sources of the food. Also, she is willing to 'wing it' and create you a custom roll or sushi salad of there isn't a massive rush! She and the owner are hilarious together and truly compliment the restaurant.
Great atmosphere. Entertaining chefs. Wonderful food.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to this place. The customer experience is terrible. They DO NOT care about the customer. In the last 2 times I've been to this place, the experiences have been worse and worse. The first time, they literally burned my shrimp and still served it to me. I came back just to give them another chance last week and it got even worse. The cook put someone else's Tokyo shrimp on top of my rice and left it there. I told them that I wasn't going to eat that because I didn't order it. They didn't even offer to make me new rice, I had to ask. When my fresh rice came back, it tasted terrible. Probably the worst fried rice I have ever ate. I spoke to the owner about the incident and all she did was give me a $5 discount. It literally ruined my whole evening. I am a big fan of Japanese steakhouses and have been to many of them, Geisha is by far the worst. Don't waste your money in this place. Its already expensive enough, that the least thing they can do is make sure your food and dining experience is perfect.
