I had surgery yesterday, it was quick and all the staff were extremely friendly, funny and personable people. They made sure I understood every aspect of my procedure and the after care I would need. Overall an excellent experience.
Poor excuse for a medical center. Horrible service and care. It is worth driving farther to get good, proper care, instead of just being charged to sit there.
My Mom fell and had an open ankle fracture which required 2 surgeries. The nursing staff has been awesome in keeping her pain under control. Momma has some other special needs and they make sure we have what she needs. The Care Partners have treated her with respect and kindness. They offer us ideas for the best care for Momma as we are her caregivers at home. They have spent their valuable time listening to her stories and bonding with us. We couldn't ask for a better experience!
Staff is the best ever. This is the most efficient and extremely caring hospital ever. The entire staff from ER to the surgery center is the most efficient and caring of all the hospitals in Virginia.
On a recent visit to relatives in Chesapeake, VA, I had the misfortune to require urgent medical service. I had been diagnosed with fluid on the lungs by an urgent care facility and advised that I needed to get to a hospital emergency room as quickly as possible. I was given the name and address of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. From start to finish I had what I would describe as an Excellent stay there. The Emergency Room personnel were extremely pleasant and professional. They did their thing before I was even asked about insurance. I was told that their only concern was my well being at the moment. From there I was ushered up to the sixth floor and put in a room. I have never seen so many caregivers in a hospital dedicated to each patient! You would have thought I was some kind of famous celebrity! I was treated exceptionally well, constantly monitored by the nurses and caregivers, had pleasant chats with them all, and was just treated like a Very Important Patient! The nurses were great. The aides were great. There were so many excellent personnel taking care of me that I cannot begin to remember all their names. The one that does stand out to me is Courtney. She was a great nurse and a Hoot!!! I apologize to all those that I cannot remember as Everyone was great! Thanks so much to ALL on the 6th floor for making what Could have been a Miserable experience a Very Pleasant and Tolerable one! I appreciate All of you! As much as I like all of you, I do NOT want to see you again!! Should that need ever arise in the future, it is Chesapeake Regional Medical Center that I would want, and especially the 6th floor!!! Thanks so much for being wonderful people!!
