The driver of the Pods truck cut him off in front of the Fire station. First the driver was tailgating him then switched lanes and cut him off so badly he need to slam on his brakes and hit the curb.
Used PODS to move to our new home. We ended up needing 3 of them. They were extremely flexible. Our closing dates got shifted and they were easy to work with and reschedule. I highly recommend their services. Their drop offs and picks were timely and very professional.
The experience I had with this location for PODS was absolutely the hands down best customer experience I have ever had. The manager went so far above and beyond to help accommodate my family through a very tough time when my child was in the hospital. They helped make the drop off and pickup very easy and accommodate our changing schedule without making us stress. I would hands down recommend this company to anyone looking for the best price with amazing customer service in the Hampton Roads area.
I'm glad my son is okay, however this driver needs some counseling.
This morning my son was almost run off the road by a PODS driver on George Washington Hwy. Chesapeake.
Edited:: finally got into my POD but no one called to inform me their forklift was up and running. I rescheduled and showed up.
The whole concept of getting a POD for moving was great. The customer service and drivers were all very helpful and friendly. I had time to pack and load it for 14 days at the old house and unload it at the new house for 14 days rather than all in one weekend like a normal truck rental. That being said, my concern was the 4 part price. For a short local move it was quite high - a flat charge to drop off the POD, a flat charge to move the POD 5 miles down the street, and a flat charge to pick it back up. There is a PODS storage facility right here in the area, so maybe there should be some consideration given for short local moves. Had this been state to state or something longer I would have thought the fees were more reasonable. The monthly rental fee I was fine with since I could load and unload it on my own schedule. So overall a very good, but pricey, move.
I've had my things in storage since June. it was easy delivery and pick up. but now that I need to get into my POD I can't. They called saying their forklift is down and trying to get a new one or theirs repaired . how long does it take to get a new forklift or to repair the one they have when there are plenty of places in town to rent one. what's going to happen when I want my POD back to unstore my things? Not going to happen bc their forklift is still down?
