I only kept going here because my husband met the actual Dentist Weis and I thought he said he liked him as they had a bit in common. Upon further discussion with my husband due to all the issues with this office, I found out my husband actually said Weis himself was obnoxious, except in other terms I won't put on the internet. It shows with his staff. They all act like a child mill, just milling kids through there as fast as possible collecting that money. One, ONE, front office woman was superb there but unfortunately - she's not around a lot! They didn't believe me when I told them there was a laughing gas leak in their old office. It was so strong, I had to wear a mask while in that office. One of their techs was always with the red eyes and acting drugged and high! Since they are in the new office, I haven't seen that addled brained tech with the red eyes or smelled that gas either. What really pissed me off was that they didn't offer my child any other options for his mouth except METAL! I would have definitely paid more, I didn't know if it was not an option because they didn't know what they would discover once they got into his mouth in surgery. I have a special child whom they had to put to sleep to get in his mouth. They could've thought of the patient, you know my SON, and thought AHEAD and said, there maybe other options during the surgery for such and such, we'll let you know. I called twice and left a message for someone to call me about this grievous error and not ONE PERSON EVER ATTEMPTED TO CALL ME BACK and I was NICE when I told them what I wanted to talk about because the person on the phone didn't make those poor decisions for my son. They are the coldest dentistry office I have ever been to and I have been there at least two years. I kept giving them chance after chance, but once they put all that metal in my son's mouth without giving me options, and that drug addled tech gave my son a mouth full of fluoride when he gets hives from that, and I asked them not to do so, that was the straw that broke the camel's back! Make sure to go to the dentist's office if you want money grubbing robot's making decisions for your children with those priorities. Just went back for cleaning, SHANICE IS EXCELLENT WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN! SHE GOT MY SON TO DO THINGS I COULDN'T MYSELF! MY MIND IS CHANGING! Dr. Kay S. Took the time to answer then explain to me what I had been trying to find out before, when their office NEVER RETURNED MY CALL! She also apologized about the lack of returned calls which was gracious of her. I didn't see many of the old staff, maybe things are changing for the better. Certainly seems like it. Though their front office staff is still condescending in manner and like to talk over you if you address it. Which I did this day. So due to Dr. Kay S. and SHANICE (especially), I will give this place 4 stars. This front office staff behaves as if they are inflated with superiority or something. They better realize fast that patients ARE CUSTOMERS and it's JUST A Simple Phone CALL to change dentists! I believe the only reason I got SHANICE as our hygienist that day was because I irritatedly told the lady who called to confirm our appt that I wanted a hygienist who IS capable of patience and not rushing us through the cleaning like cattle as they usually do which is why we've been unsuccessful and she stated she would let the clinical manager know of our special needs. I didn't have much faith in that at the time though cuz I told everyone we've ever worked with there and it NEVER seemed to matter, bbefore.
We had been patients for approximately 5 years. We have 4 children who have been patients here. It had been a wonderful experience up until one of our children had a difficult visit last time while getting a cavity filled. We had another appointment for today and one of our sons (who has Autism) was anxious and wanted me to go back with me this time. I spoke with Dr Weis myself regarding how our son felt. Dr Weis explained he gets nervous while parents are in the room while he works and therefore doesn't allow parents in there. He had a mother pass out on him previously and doesn't allow it. I explained I have medical background. Dr Weis so nicely told me he didn't care if I was the Pope, I wouldn't be in the room. I explained to him it's not about him, it's about his patients. He then explained there are other dentists and I could go to one of them. It's appalling that any reputable Dr would deny a parent to be in a room with a minor child, especially when they are only 8 years old, who had a bad visit, and was nervous, in the room with their child! I have seen and heard negative remarks about this office. I have always defended this Dr. I now understand the comments about him being arrogant, rude, and disrespectful towards parents. It took a long time for me to see it, but I did today. Its sad. It's a sad situation for the children to have to experience a Dr like this. I hope all of the the medical professionals his children see, he is never treated like this. I hope he and his children are always treated with respect and dignity. This is not representative of a medical professional.
